BikeHere! Liberty Village Unveiling

On Monday October 31st, the LVBIA launched the BikeHere! Liberty VIllage program consisting of twelve artistically designed bike racks and three clusters of secure bike lockers, all in support of cycling in Liberty Village and Toronto!

The Liberty Village BIA realized a need to increase the capacity of bike-support infrastructure in Liberty Village. “Bike Here! is a program of the Liberty Village BIA in support of our very healthy and environmentally conscious membership, who prefer to cycle to work“, says Dan Armstrong, Chair, Liberty Village BIA. “By adding bike racks and lockers we’re making it easier for people to choose to cycle, rather than drive, as part of their commute to work”.

The success of the Bike Here! Liberty Village program can be attributed to the coming together of supporters including Live Green Toronto, City of Toronto, Toronto Parking Authority, Ashelron Ltd. and York Heritage Properties. The Liberty Village BIA is very appreciative of the support received and is excited to be able to offer bike support to the many cyclists who work, play and live in Liberty Village.
